Houses for elves / Casute pentru elfi

I was looking through my pins one day and I found this tutorial:

I pinned it last year thinking: I'll make some of these houses for next Christmas. I didn't make them for THIS Christmas, but, it will be Christmas next year so...
I did'n't have the Graphic 45 "Twelve Days of Christmas" paper, so I had to improvise. The paper I used came from different sources: some digital paper from Echo paper that I printed, a few sheets from a block  I bought from Lidl in late November, some stickers and the Christmas-theme paper I received from my friend Gabriela (http://paperscissorsandgluemedown.blogspot.ro/) in the autumn. I hope you like the result.

Nu aveam hartia originala de la Graphic 45  "Twelve Days of Christmas", asa ca a trebuit sa improvizez. Am folosit hartie din diferite surse: am printat din kiturile digitale pe care le aveam in calculator, am luat niste foi dintr-un bloc cumparat de la Lidl prin noiembrie si cateva bucati de hartie din cea trimisa de prietena mea Gabriela (http://paperscissorsandgluemedown.blogspot.ro/). Sper sa va placa rezultatul.

Hope you like it! It was veey fun to make, but also exhausting.

What I find wonderful about this type of album is that you can put a lot a photos in a small space. I mean each page has 6 pockets of different size so you can stock up to 12 photos per page.

Working hard

In the last 10 days I created 10 scrapbook albums. It was insane, a real challenge, but I made it. I'm sorry for the poor quality of the photos, but they wew taken on my living room carpet at 6 a.m. :)

These are the covers of the albums I made:

As you can see there are 2 of each. The covers vary a little, but on the inside, the are very similar. I worked "in pairs", making two albums at a time to ease my work a little.

Necklaces for my friend's mum

I made these necklaces last week for a friend’s mum. I used glass beads, porcelain beans and clay beads. The clay beads are handmade and hand painted by me. Hope you like them!

Look what I found today

Today I bought these lovely scrapbook paper pads from Lidl. I can't wait to make some Easter decoration with this paper.

My first blog post (ever)

So… I made myself a blog. Actually I created this blog a couple years back but I didn’t write anything. Till now.  It happens that over the weekend I got the flu. And as I was sitting in bed doing nothing (and dying of pure boredom) I decided to give it a try. It’s still under construction; I’m still trying to understand the technicalities of blog managing, but that’s ok, no one is rushing me.

I want to share here my creations and the things I find over the internet that I like. As you’ll see I like painting, drawing, cross stitching, crocheting and working with clay. My new passion is scrapbooking, so you’ll see a lot of that in here (hopefully).

Why in English? As you (probably) have noticed my English isn’t perfect. But I see this blog as an opportunity to practice it and to stay in touch with my international friends. As long as I make myself understood, I think it’s ok.

I decided to make my first blog post about the image that welcomes you every time you visit me. It’s a fragment from a tray that I painted a few weeks back.
